This day trip from Marrakech takes you up to Imlil (1,740m) for a one-hour walk to the neighbouring village of Armed, where you will be welcomed with mint tea and enjoy lunch in a traditional guesthouse.
Morning: Depart Marrakech at 9am, heading south through Moulay Brahim and Asni — where a weekly market takes place every Saturday. Continue to Imlil (1,740m), a trailhead village set in the upper foothills of the western High Atlas, with streams and paths branching out in all directions. Walk one hour through the mountain paths to the village of Armed, where you will be welcomed with mint tea and visit an authentic Berber home.
Midday: Enjoy lunch at a local guesthouse in Armed.
Afternoon: Walk 40 minutes back down to Imlil. Transfer back to Marrakech.
