Ait Benhaddou is a trip not to be missed from Marrakech. Countless films have been shot here — Gladiator, Lawrence of Arabia, Prince of Persia — and it has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1987. A few families still live in the traditional Ksar. Along the road from Marrakech you will admire isolated Berber villages set against the dramatic High Atlas Mountains.
