itinerary

Day 1: Marrakech
Welcome to Morocco and the start of your marvelous journey! Arrive at Marrakech Airport and transfer to your hotel close to the Medina. Spend the rest of the day at leisure. Head out to the famous Djemaa el Fna Square in the evening – alive with snake charmers, orange juice sellers, food stalls and storytellers.

Day 2: Marrakech
Today is your chance to see and taste Marrakech. The guided tour takes you through the old medina to discover ancient palaces, madrassas and the souks. Visit the Koutoubia Gardens and the 12th-century Koutoubia Mosque, then arrive at the famous Djemaa el Fna Square. Spend the afternoon free or visit the Exotic Gardens of Majorelle.

Day 3: Marrakech – Ait Benhadou – Ouarzazate – Skoura
Head south from the plains of Haouz across the High Atlas Mountains via the pass of Tizi n'Tichka. Visit the UNESCO World Heritage-listed Ait Benhadou Kasbah, then stop in Ouarzazate – the Hollywood of North Africa – to visit its famous film studios. Continue to Skoura Oasis for the night, enjoying its peaceful gardens and birdsong.

Day 4: Skoura – Dades Gorge – Todra Gorge – Tmtatoucht Village
Drive the Road of a Thousand Kasbahs through the Valley of Roses at Kalaa Mgouna. Continue through the villages of Dades Valley with stops for the stunning rock formations of the Dades Gorge. Walk through the oasis at Tinghir before heading to Todra Gorge, Morocco’s highest canyon, for an overnight stay in Tmtatoucht village.

Day 5: Tmtatoucht to Merzouga Erg Chebbi
Cross the mountainous landscapes of Jbel Saghro past ancient nomadic wells. Stop for lunch in Errissani, perhaps trying Madfouna – Moroccan pizza. Arrive at the dunes of Erg Chebbi, meet the camel team and enjoy tea before a 1.5-hour camel ride to the Berber camp. Spend the night stargazing, enjoying a campfire and Saharan music.

Day 6: Merzouga – Agdz – Ouarzazate
Rise early to climb a dune for sunrise, then return to the hotel for breakfast. Drive through Alnif and Nkoub Valleys stopping at picturesque villages and oases. Continue to Agdz to discover the Draa Valley and Morocco’s longest river. Overnight in Ouarzazate.

Day 7: Ouarzazate to Marrakech
After breakfast, head back to Marrakech for a final celebratory dinner.

Day 8: Marrakech
Transfer to the airport for your flight home.
