Not far from Marrakech, in the heart of the High Atlas, the Ourika Valley is where you discover the real life of Morocco's indigenous Amazigh people. Particularly green throughout the year and fed by the Ourika River, the valley is dotted with traditional villages. The village of Setti Fatma at the valley's end is a popular retreat with a famous cascade of seven waterfalls above.
Morning: Depart hotel at 8:30am, drive across the Haouz plain into the High Atlas, stopping at Berber villages along the valley.
Midday: Arrive at Setti Fatma (1,500m). Walk to the seven waterfalls. Tea in a local Berber home. Visit pottery workshops.
Afternoon: Lunch by the river, return to Marrakech around 5pm.
